Fall is definately here.

Published by Steve under Gym, That's Life

First off, my weight after a “naughty” weekend of eating: 205 lbs. I went to the gym and did my workout and had a hard time finding the right tune to motivate me. It was a bit off today, but I muddled through the workout and did all my exersies to the fullest.

When I got home I left the car on the drive and prepared the house for Fall weather. I took both hoses into the garage, Shannon’s bike (left in the backyard for over a month now), and pulled the chicken wire fence off the deck and rolled it up and placed it down in the basement. I also took the two rotting rugs that have sat rolled up on the drive for about a month (we are so white trash) and put them in the refuse heap in the backyard to eventually get taken to the dump.

I dragged the 4′ x 8′ MDF board covered in mold from the garage and onto the heap. It was such a waste to have it get ruined in the basement with one of our water leaks. It was suppose to be the “replacement” to the current office desk I built. I’ll have to buy a new piece of MDF and give it another go in the spring.

I pulled all the staples out that I used to hold the chicken wire onto the deck. Sweat was dripping from my forehead and nose while I did this. I was getting a second workout!

Gym again

Published by Steve under Gym, Shannon

I weighed 202 lbs and went to the gym again. It was a good workout but there were too many people there tonight. I had to rearrange my workout to get to the equipment I wanted.

Shannon and I went to a Mexican restaurant recommended by my supervisor at work. It was very tasty but the music was alarmingly loud and I think everyone was giving us looks (not in a good way).

Day 3 of gym

Published by Steve under Gym

Okay, I need to modify my diet. Today I weighed 203 lbs. The gym was mostly empty due to the rainy weather. Good! Less competition for equipment!

I really like my iPod for working out! I had a great selection to listen to and it really motivated me to work on the elliptical trainer for 20 minutes as oppose to my usual 15 minutes. And I was really working at it too!

Tonight they are going to draw my PowerBall numbers. Just warning everyone that I will be rich and powerful on Thursday. The amount is up to $340 million dollars!

Not enough time in a day

Published by Steve under Gym, That's Life

I made it to the gym and stretched my muscles back out. They were very sore on Sunday and I had trouble moving my arms around into certain positions.

The gym was a good work out and I saw my friend Jim there as I was rapping up my work out. We made plans to eat out this next Saturday with his friends.

After the gym I went to the grocery store to buy a few things. However I went hungry. So I bought good stuff, just tons of it instead of “just a few things.”

I made my dinner (spicy chicken soft tacos with fat free sour cream and guacamole). They were excellent! After washing all the days dishes and dinner dishes I made my lunch for tomorrow and got the coffee ready for in the morning. Look at the time! I finally get to sit down and relax before going to bed at 9:00 PM to get up at 5:00 AM to start the day over.

Oh, I almost forgot - I weigh 202 lbs this morning.

First day at the Gym

Published by Steve under Gym, Me, Shannon

I think today was the first time this year that I went to Ballys. It’s sad to say but true. I’ve gotten out of my routine and I need to get back into it. So I’m going to blog each visit to the gym or at least post my weigh in so I can look back and hopefully see progress. Todays weigh in is 200 lbs.

Shannon and I went on our Friday “date” - kind of thing. He has Fridays off so we go out to eat when I get home. We ate at Jackstack BBQ and it was great! I had onion rings for an appetizer (it was a cheat meal), and the baby back ribs. I also had a Manhattan with the meal. I haven’t had one of those in years. It was fun.

Afterwards we went to Brookside and had a scoop of ice cream. Very nice evening!
