Hear we go!
Today is the day Super Mario Galaxy actually releases. I have a copy reserved at Target but unfortunately their release date isn’t until Wednesday, November 14th. So I have two more days to wait!

I pre ordered my copy at Target and will be picking it up on Wednesday November 14th after I get off work! I can’t wait for this game to come out. This will be my first non “party” game for the Wii.
From all the movie previews I’ve watch, it looks really cool. The 3D worlds look like they would be hard to figure out controlling Mario to go the direction you want but they say you get use to the 3D world terrain quickly.
I’ll probably end up getting the Play Guide for Super Mario Galaxy because I usually need help figuring things out. Young kids can just run through the levels but I need help to know what to do. I didn’t grow up with games like my co-workers did.
The next game I’m looking to get is Mari Kart Wii which is coming out some time in the beginning of 2008.

It turns out that the Internet Explorer issue was because a Theme got corrupted (somehow). Once I changed Themes it went away. I was even able to upload a fresh version of the Theme and it worked - but by then I was ready to move on to a new look.
I started around noon Saturday and didn’t get the whole thing settled until around 5:00 PM. Tweaking and flipping between Themes is time consuming!

My Mom called me this morning after I made my earlier post to tell me that it looked all messed up in Internet Explorer. It looks fine in FireFox (for PC & Mac) and it looks fine in Safari for (PC & Mac) - Explorer is the only one with a problem.
I have no idea when this started or if it just started. I Thought it was a plug-in issue but turning off all the plug-ins did not solve the problem. I also updated to a newer blog version (WP 2.3.1) which did nothing to fix it either. I am totally lost as to what could cause it. I even went through the spam plug-in to see if it caught something that might have done it… I couldn’t see anything but that doesn’t rule it out.
Sorry everyone, you’ll have to use FireFox or Safari till it gets worked out!

Shannon and I went out to eat at Mi Mi’s Saigon 39. It is a Vietnamese restaurant in the mid-town area. I haven’t been there in about a year it seems. I love their Spring Rolls which are served with a fantastic peanut sauce.
I was really surprised they weren’t busier. Usually they are packed, but we were there right at 5:00 PM so it was a bit early for most folks. We eat at the “old folks” time (5:00) and generally it beats all the restaurant rushes. I’m use to eating at that time because of work so Shannon just goes along with the flow.
I’m using a new photo feature. Just click on any image to see a larger one and then while the larger one is displayed click on the left or right side of the image to navigate to the next photo.
They had a neat “setting” in their window so I snapped a shot of it. I liked it because of the shadows.
Here are the famous Spring Rolls. I took a bite from mine before I remembered I was going to take pictures while we ate.
I usually get Bun; which is a room temperature rice noodle. I got it with Shrimp, Chicken, and Beef with Mild seasoning. I can’t take the heat - or I should say my tummy can’t take the heat. The little metal cup is full of a peanut and anchovy vinaigrette to pour over the dish.
Shannon got something at the hottest level of heat and it had Shrimp and Tofu. He didn’t like their Tofu - said it tasted like burnt french toast.
Here Shannon is with Jaki on the couch. It’s kind of a weird pose. It was actually caught while they were both moving - but Shannon thought it looked good so I kept it. Jaki moves so much it’s hard to get her captured on a camera!
It was a fun evening and I got to use my new Fuji Camera!
An update on my hives and boils. Everything is about all cleared up. The nasty thing under my arm is healed up so much you can’t even tell it had a wick coming out of it. Luckily the hives didn’t come back when the medicine ended.
