I may be broke but at least I got all my tax information in order and ready to go to the Tax Guy. I have an appointment to see him on Monday February 19 and drop off my tax information. After I drop it off it should be automatically deposited into my checking account in about two weeks.
Hopefully I get a nice big return like last year so I can purchase a new computer and new eyeglasses with it.
I’m going to have to “upgrade” my glasses to bifocals. I was warned about “being on the edge” of needing bifocals last time I got my eyes checked (three years ago!). So I am prepared to go the bifocal way when I go in for my eye exam and get some new frames. I’m figuring around $450.00 for the lenses, exam, frames, no line lenses, computer anti-glare and all. So you can see why I’m hoping for a nice big tax return!
I’ll be glad to get rid of these frames I currently wear. I bought them over five or so years ago so they are a little bit dated.

I just got through balancing two statements for my checkbook. I should never let them go this long. Whenever I do let them go I have problems. Guess what, I have problems. I apparently have a renewing XM Radio membership and never got the email notification, plus a deposit I made in October never showed up and I didn’t keep the deposit slip so I’m screwed. I had to deduct $100.00 from my account to make my records reflect the banks.
Let’s just say I am very broke.

Shannon got a Hardship License Friday. He is able to drive a 70 mile radius from home. This is great news - now he can drive himself to and from work, that will free me up. There was a big mix up last spring and Shannon lost his license. So for the past ten months or so he has been taking the bus to work and I have been picking him up after work.

I thought yesterday was Wednesday all day and so that would make today Thursday. On Thursday nights I put the trash out for early Friday morning pick up (has to be out there by 7:00 AM). So I get to work today and look at the calendar and think, huh, I must have crossed out an extra day, cause’ Thursday is crossed off. Then I look at the computer and sure enough, the day is actually Friday! Next thought “CRAP!” I don’t have the trash out at the curb and I am at work. So that meant calling Shannon and waking him up so he could set the trash out before 7:00 AM. I hope he stayed awake long enought to do that and didn’t fall back to sleep. I’ll find out tonight.
Well, Shannon fell asleep after talking to me on the phone so we will have two weeks worth of trash to deal with. Ugh!
