I have to get my “almost new” Honda Element’s front window replaced tomorrow. A rock on the highway popped up and made a tiny little chip - which through the rising and dropping of the temperature made a nice big crack on the passenger side of the front window.

I called AAA and made the arrangements and a window service will be picking up my car while I’m at work and taking it to their shop to replace the window and then letting the seals cure for a couple of hours before returning it to the parking lot at work.

I have to pay a deductible of $250.00 and someone at work suggested that I use my Attendance Award money (in the form of points). I asked our Human Resources person if it would be possible to use point money for the repair and she said it would work. The only problem is that my job will pay the $250.00 via their credit card and then I pay my employer $50.00. The points money can only be used in $100.00 increments and they couldn’t work it out any other way. Hey, I’m happy paying $50.00 in place of the $250.00 that I don’t have!

The only thing I worry about is the glass repair person driving my car from our company parking lot to their shop and then back. My poor new-ish car. I have to not think about it too much.

I noticed I have a crack on my front windshield! Just great. So I called AAA and made my report. I will have to wait for the weather to warm up before replacing it (and until I get the $250.00 for my deductible).

It started to snow yesterday around noon and it didn’t stop till the middle of the night. We got about 6 to 8 inches of snow. At least there is no ice under it - just snow.

I have to go out and shovel now… yeah!

After giving up and submitting my question to WP-Forums, I am finally up and running with Widgets in my side bar (that list of stuff on the right). I can easily re-arange and add, delete any of the “items” on my side bar in a handy-dandy browser interface - all drag and drop!

I think I’m getting a hang of it now and have done tons of widget shopping. By the way; widgets are free - so that makes it very nice to shop!

I forgot to mention in my earlier post that I got my Attendance Award for 2006: nine years in a row with perfect attendance! I got $300.00, 200 points (1 point = $1), and a day off with pay. Next year will mark my tenth year and I will be at $400.00! I can’t wait. Unfortunately most of the money is already spent on the plumbing bill from last weekend. But it was nice to get anyway.

I have been playing around with various Themes trying to pick the one I like. Sorry if everything keeps changing on you if your visiting. There are a lot to choose from and will probably make more changes before settling on the final look. I have a lot of learning to do to see all the stuff this Word Press software can do.
