Well, I have gotten off the road to blogging lately and I need to get back on! I have had stuff to say - just too lazy to say it.
Today was very productive! I made a new Automator plug-in for a folder so that when I drop photos or folders of photos on to it - it will automatically open up each file and size and resolution changes and save it for the web, then move all contents of the drop folder to an images folder in another location. Then all I have to do is add that content to a web page in Dreamweaver and upload. It is making weekly updates to Ronson Real Estate much easier!!! Say hello to Otto (pictured on the right), he’s the Automator that comes with Mac OS X!
I’ve been wanting to use the Automator application for awhile but just never sat down to figure it out. I did a search on the web about it and came across a site that has a bunch of Automator Actions for Photoshop and shows you how to get started. That helped greatly!

This has been a very cool week with all the new information being released by Apple on their new Operating System (OS) release called Leopard. Leopard has some great, exciting stuff and I can’t wait for it’s release. It will be available in Spring of 2007.
Create your own website widget using Web Clip in Safari for Leopard. Just visit your favorite site and click the “Open in Dashboard” button in Safari. Dashboard launches a new clip of the site in a customizable widget. From there, you can resize your Web Clip and choose from a handful of window themes. And since your Web Clip is always live, it acts just like the website it was clipped from. Dashboard for Leopard also introduces a movie widget that finds movies and showtimes in less time than it takes to make popcorn.

This is the best thing so far! With Time Machine, you can restore your whole system from any past backups and peruse the past with ease. Can’t find a file you want? Enter Time Machine’s time-based browser to see a snapshot of how your entire system looked on any given day — file by file. When you find the file you want, just select it and restore it. Time Machine brings it into the present. You can do the same with a group of files, whole folders, even your entire system. With a single click.
I will have to wait for a newer computer to get Leopard (I think). I have had this computer for a very long time and I think it is reaching it’s end. I would like to use Income Tax Return money next Spring to get a new MacBook Pro 17″ (with the new Leopard OS on it)! I would still keep the current computer and use it for storage and stuff. Ahhh dreams!
Here is the MacBook Pro (pretty, pretty).

It has a cool feature for it’s track pad. “MacBook Pro can tell if you’ve got one finger on the pedal, or two. With two, you can easily scroll around your documents or open contextual menus. And it’s easier now, thanks to a larger trackpad.”

And it has sensors to detect the amount of light in the room so it can backlight the keypad! “Where else can you find a backlit keyboard? MacBook Pro has a built-in ambient light sensor that adjusts the keyboard and display brightness for optimal visibility.”

How cool is that!
And thus concludes my “drool-fest.” We now return you to your normal daily life.
