Not enough time in a day

Published by Steve under Gym, That's Life

I made it to the gym and stretched my muscles back out. They were very sore on Sunday and I had trouble moving my arms around into certain positions.

The gym was a good work out and I saw my friend Jim there as I was rapping up my work out. We made plans to eat out this next Saturday with his friends.

After the gym I went to the grocery store to buy a few things. However I went hungry. So I bought good stuff, just tons of it instead of “just a few things.”

I made my dinner (spicy chicken soft tacos with fat free sour cream and guacamole). They were excellent! After washing all the days dishes and dinner dishes I made my lunch for tomorrow and got the coffee ready for in the morning. Look at the time! I finally get to sit down and relax before going to bed at 9:00 PM to get up at 5:00 AM to start the day over.

Oh, I almost forgot - I weigh 202 lbs this morning.

The day after… the gym

Published by Steve under Blog, Me

Boy I can feel it in my muscles. All that working out Friday - and it was only 45 minutes worth too! Feels good and I look forward to Monday’s work out.

I did some fixin’ up of the ‘ol Blog. I didn’t realize that the comment pages and date pages were a little messed up. All the side bar stuff was loading at the bottom of the page. Opps. Well that is all fixed now. It took awhile to figure out. Ended up being one word was in the wrong place so everything loaded crazy!

I also added pictures of Jaki and Shannon. So when you click on their names it shows their photo in a new little window. Awwhhh isn’t that cute.

I added an email link to the blog as well. I don’t know why I waited till now. It’s a secure “form” method of email so it stops the little spam spiders in their tracks. I’ve gone to using this method on all the web sites and blogs I maintain.

It’s a great sunny day and I’m gonna go out and get a few things at the store and enjoy the day!

First day at the Gym

Published by Steve under Gym, Me, Shannon

I think today was the first time this year that I went to Ballys. It’s sad to say but true. I’ve gotten out of my routine and I need to get back into it. So I’m going to blog each visit to the gym or at least post my weigh in so I can look back and hopefully see progress. Todays weigh in is 200 lbs.

Shannon and I went on our Friday “date” - kind of thing. He has Fridays off so we go out to eat when I get home. We ate at Jackstack BBQ and it was great! I had onion rings for an appetizer (it was a cheat meal), and the baby back ribs. I also had a Manhattan with the meal. I haven’t had one of those in years. It was fun.

Afterwards we went to Brookside and had a scoop of ice cream. Very nice evening!

Mac-tastic!

Published by Steve under Computer, iPod

Apple came out with some cool stuff this week! A new iMac G5, iTunes 6 and a new iPod that has a larger display and plays video.

Here is the iMac G5:

That thing next to the mouse that looks like a pack of gum standing up is the remote. The new iMac G5 comes with a built in iSight (video camera) in the center of the top of the monitor. The remote controls video (DVD or downloaded videos), iTunes selections, iSight camera, and from across the room with a display that is large enough to read from anywhere. Very cool. All new Macs ship with the Mighty Mouse (which is what I use and love).

The new iPod:

I just bought my iPod 20 GB color display a month ago! Now for the same price I could get the new one! Argh! Such is the technological life. Always changing and newer stuff is just around the corner!

Trim and a waggy tail

Published by Steve under Jaki

Jaki got her toe nails trimmed at the original vet we use to go to. She acted crazy happy the entire time there. She didn’t scream during her trim either. So the results speak for themselves; we will go to the original vet from now on. She is much happier there. I also feel more comfortable with them and get a MUCH friendlier welcome from the staff than the cheaper vet in Lee’s Summit. The Lee’s Summit vet barely crack a smile when I walk up to the desk. I feel I’m putting them out to have to talk to me.
