I had a crappy day at work. Someone I work with loves to take advantage of their work environment. Basically they end up getting paid around $17.00 an hour for “goofing off” at work. They spent an entire afternoon “making a home budget” Thursday.
We are doing over time and they are doing nothing productive! I did 6 hours of over time this week, staying after work for 2 hours on three different occasions. All that overtime seems to be for nothing if people are going to do “whatever” when they should be producing orders to get us caught up! I just don’t understand that kind of work ethic!
I was so upset with this person that I could barely eat lunch. I ended up eating a small chicken burrito out of the vending machine (which I found a chicken bone in).
I tried to just let it go. There is not much I can do other than tell my supervisor (which I have already done). He says he will talk with my co-woker. I guess I take work too seriously. I don’t expect everyone to be a perfect employee. We all take an unscheduled break now and then but not for hours on end!
Shannon and I went out to eat. That helped me to relax and forget about the dumb co-worker. We even got a coffee and walked around the Plaza for a bit. It was nice. The weather is beautiful. I wish I would have taken my camera. I popped into the Apple store and drooled over the “toys” and talked with an employee there that I know.

It feels like I’ve worked all weekend! I spent all Saturday afternoon and evening on “Let’s go there - BLOG” for David Simpson. He registered his new domains and now it was time for me to remember how to set up a new server space and get all the DNS numbers talking nicely to each other.
Once that was done (not an easy task, either!) it was time to download his blog that I had kept stored in a folder on my web space (to test it out and stuff). I had to try and keep all the changes, adjustments, improvements I made to his blog on my server and upload that content to the new space.
It all went rather smoothly. That is until I tried to log into the new web space blog that I copied from my test space and uploaded to the new space. It didn’t work. I had to go through a partial install to get it to recognize it was on the new space. That means all the content isn’t recognized either. It kept getting worse. This was all taking place late Saturday night after working all day practically on his stuff.
Now came the fun part. I had to open two browser windows. One for the new space and one for the old test space. Then it was: make look identical. I had to make sure the new space had all the same files and no extra files. Then make sure the file names were correct for the new space and not linked to the old space. Then copy and past from the old space into the files on the new space so the content of the files was correct. Sounds like a fun Saturday night, huh?!
Which brings us (me) to Sunday morning. Okay, none of the “articles” or “entries” came over in the move. So what I did to the files in making them identical is going to happen to 112 files for the articles. Yea, it is going to be a fun morning! At least with these I just have to click “new entry” on the new space and then in another browser window have the old space entries open and copy and past into the new entry window. Assign it the same category as the old entry and save, 112 times.

I took Jaki for her 10 day check up at the vet on Tuesday. I must say that that vet is not the cleanest of buildings. I guess you get what you pay for, huh. Anyway, We waited for the doctor to see her little bald spot where the ring worm was and to see how it was healing.
The vet said the spot looks like it is free of ring worm and now it will probably take a couple of months to grow the hair back and to keep putting ointment on the spot for another two weeks.
Jaki doesn’t really like that vet. She is very jittery there. I may have to go back to the “original” vet and see if she does have a preference or not. I do like the office of the original vet better than this new cheap vet.
She has a toe nail trim coming up in a week or so, I’ll take her back to the original vet and see how she reacts there.

I spent all of last night and all of this morning on blog entries for David’s site. I finally finished and his blog now has all the same content as his “static” version and has 110 entries! We still need to finalize the name and then move it to it’s real location. For right now it is in a location on my server. Want to see it?

Not all of her hair, but a very tiny patch that was inside the circle of ring worm. I guess it is part of the healing process. It has fresh pink skin underneath it and only a tiny bit of the original standing up and full of scab, hair is remaining in the circle. If it starts to look nasty or bigger then I’m to call the vet and get her in to be inspected again.
I just hope Shannon and I don’t “get it” from her. Ring worm can be contagious (if that’s what she has).
Yuk, I have to think pleasant thoughts!
