Beautiful Spring Day

Published by Steve under That's Life

What a great Spring day! Nice temperature and sunny skies. I took this opportunity to go out onto the deck and clean up the “in progress” deck garden. Also cleaned out the bird bath for the birdies.

The neighbor’s kids are practicing ball in their backyard. All I hear is the sound of a ball popping off a metal bat. I hope I don’t hear the crash of kitchen glass too. They have pop a ball into our back yard, and hit the house once that I know of. With our deck and kitchen being so close to the property line and their back yard it worries me a little.

Still not a peep from Lowe’s on my replacement Freezer door. I’m gonna have to call them again.

What was that!?

Published by Steve under That's Life

I got woken up last night by the sound of silence. Sounds weird but I slept with a fan on and suddenly there was no noise. Apparently the whole neighborhood lost power around 12:30 in the middle of the night. Made for a restless night till the power was restored around 1:30 AM. Then I was able to sleep but still was a little worried about the sounds of extremely heavy rain and thunder. I hope to sleep better tonight. The weird thing about the power loss is it wasn’t really raining yet when the power went out. Made me think I was about to experience a tornado. Geesh!

Weed-b-gone & a trim around the edges please

Published by Steve under That's Life

Since Mom pointed it out, it was only proper to get to it. So I went outside and trimed up the bushes in front.

While out there and picking up the trimmed off bits, I noticed the weeds were about to take control. I quickly took care of that potentioal and ongoing problem, at least for a day or two.

Hyacinth are blooming and Clothing hung.

Published by Steve under Home Repair, Jaki, Me, Shannon, That's Life

Our Hyacinth are blooming, they are to the right of our front door.

Here are the Pansies that are to the left of our front door.

I also got my Clothing Rack put up in the basement.

Here are some pictures we snaped off this afternoon on the deck. Here’s Shannon smoking a cigar.

Here’s a couple of me.

Laundry, Hair, and a Clothing Rack

Published by Steve under Home Repair, Me, Shannon, That's Life

Shannon took off work early tonight so he could finish up his three day laundry chore. Yes, that is correct, 3 DAYS of doing laundry. Let’s just say he has a lot of clothes and can go a long time without doing laundry, but when it does come time it takes forever.

I, in the mean time, need to do my laundry but can seem to get near the washer and dryer for all of Shannon’s laundry “in progress.” So Shannon took off work, as I said, so he could finish up his laundry and I could do mine. Which I might add, only takes me a few hours - not days to do.

Time to cut my buzz cut. Can’t let it get out of shape when it’s this short.

Since Shannon has so many clothes and it would be really nice to have, I am going to make a clothing rack in the basement next to the washer and dryer. I’m using closet dowels, some eye hooks, and chain to make a double tier shirt area with a pants area. Pictures to follow.
